Buckyverse Proposal
July 20th, 2007 by deanI propose that Buckycentric folk design triangular computer screens with triangular pixels. Display of data would not be rows of text, but trees, symbolic rather than linquistic. Mentat training would be employed so that the users could quickly come up to speed with the interface, and triad, rather than pair, programming would be applied.

That would make it easier to build dome-shaped displays in which to ensconce one’s self.

That would make it much easier to create an Interocitor of This Island Earth. (I’m amused by the contemporary look of the triangular screen while the actors and the rest of the set look so dated)

Your proposal is plural and at a minimum twofold, and the post itself is a holographic demonstration of the limitations of linear text. Having to click on each link and open a new window shows the need for other ways of displaying information. The images you linked to might look pretty good in a symbolic tree and be easier to use.
