A Huffing Post

BTW, “Dampkring” means, literally, “smoke ring,” but what it really means is “atmosphere” or possibly “vibe.”
One of the load-bearing columns inside the tiny, smoke-filled room (with a bar at the side and a “bar” at the back) is enclosed by what I call “The Hobbit Tree.” Some sort of fiberglass sculpture of a fairy-land tree, nicely painted and with knobbly “knots” and scraggly “bark” and complete with branches spreading into the ceiling. It contains ashtrays in some of the kobbly knots, and up in the branches are holes and beyond that, ductwork, so that you may blow your smoke up into the “tree” and see it dissipate.
Just a couple doors down is a “Ten Thousand Villages,” so that your wife can shop while you huff.
Ah, the full “slice.”
